Online retailer Kitbag.com is set to embark on an awareness raising campaign with the appointment of Tangerine PR.

The Manchester agency has been hired to grow the brand awareness between the core target audience of 17-25 year old sports fans, with the strategy to centre around the retailer's sports offering.

Former Wales international, Robbie Savage, a brand ambassador for Kitbag.com, will be involved in the strategy to target key influential nations, sports and lifestyle media to develop discussion around the brand.

Andy Anson, CEO at Kitbag.com, said: “With the World Cup taking place next year, it’s extremely important that Kitbag.com is prepared to play a part in this major celebration and already 2014 looks set to be our most exciting year to date – so it was really important to find an agency who understands our brand, positioning and customer."

Kitbag.com's social media channels, such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram will also be managed by Tangerine.
