Disney has announced it has formed a partnership with frozen food retailer Iceland to promote the upcoming release of ‘Frozen’, set to hit cinema screens on 6 December.

The family-oriented campaign will give Iceland customers the chance to pick up complementary child’s ticket with the purchase of an adult ticket with a grocery spend of £15 or more.

A marketing campaign, launched today, will also incorporate in-store branding as well as TV and newspaper adverts featuring key characters from the film.

Barnaby Rothwell, Director, Promotions, Disneymedia+ EMEA said: “This promotion demonstrates how a Disneymedia+ promotion can communicate with our clients’ customers in a fun and engaging way. We are therefore thrilled to be able to offer Iceland’s customers and their families the chance to enjoy Frozen during the festive period in cinemas throughout the UK.”

Alison Laverick, Head of Marketing, Iceland Foods said: “Iceland is delighted to be working with Disneymedia+ on this promotional campaign. We’re very pleased to be offering our valued customers the opportunity to enjoy Disney’s latest family animation and we’re sure they are set to be captivated by this comedy adventure.”

The partnership was brokered by Disneymedia+, marketing arm of Disney UK & Ireland.
