Content design and creation company Somethin’ Else has promoted Ian Sharpe to the role of head of moving image and digital.

The new role sees Sharpe take responsibility for the entire suite of sales and production work across the areas of digital and TV and video. In addition Sharpe will also continue to focus on creating high calibre visual and digital projects for Somethin’ Else’s client roster.

“I'm incredibly excited to get stuck in to a new part of the business and help it grow, but also to continue making fantastic products for some great clients across both areas,” said Sharpe.

MD of Somethin’ Else Steve Ackerman added: “Our content solutions are increasingly demanding a multi-platform approach and it makes complete sense to bring together one team for all our online and visual content, headed by the fantastic talents of Ian.”

Sharpe previously held the role of head of video and prior to that worked at various visual and interactive departments throughout the BBC, latterly running the digital team and portfolio at BBC Radio 2.
