Barnes & Noble has launched a major television advertising campaign ahead of Christmas.

Titled 'It All Happens at Barnes & Noble', the campaign promotes the bookseller as a shopping destination for the festive season and also introduces its new eReader – Nook GlowLight.

The TVC features actor Jack McBrayer as a holiday shopper, who guides viewers through the store as he shops and finds the perfect gifts, even for the more discerning ones on his list.

The campaign comes after the company announced earlier this year that it had ceased production of its Nook tablets after a 34 per cent drop in sales of Nook devices and e-books. As it struggles to compete with the likes of Amazon in the e-Reader marketplace, with this campaign Barnes & Noble is aiming to offer consumers a fresh look at the store and highlight its varied product offering.

The spot is scheduled to air across all major networks including ABC, NBC Universal, CBS, and Fox as well as cable networks during the top-rated network shows like 'The Voice', 'NCIS','2 Broke Girls' and 'Two and a Half Men'.

It was devised by Mullen and directed by Tom Scharpling of Arts and Sciences with visual effects by Brickyard VFX.
