Steven Taylor, formerly managing director of design agency Raw has launched a new online store and design collective, Form & Glory.

Taylor launched Form & Glory with the aim of providing a range of products that aim to breathe life into the sports merchandise and gift market.

He said: “I think there is a total disconnect between the amount of sheer creative talent we have, both in this country and around the world, and the level of creativity found in the products that dominate the sports memorabilia sector. Form & Glory is all about tapping into, and rewarding, creative talent and has creativity at the very heart of the process. We need to move away from the gimmicks and mass-market approach. Why can´t sports fans also have design taste?”

Raw created the brand identity and website for their co-founder and former managing director’s new company.

Rob Watson, Raw’s creative director, said: “It’s been really good fun to work with Steven on this new venture and it felt like it was a perfect fit in which we could all combine our knowledge and expertise in the sports sector. We really wanted the branding to reflect the quality and craftsmanship of the Form & Glory products and we’re hoping that there will be plenty more makers and designers keen to get involved with the collective in the months to come.”

The aim of Form & Glory is to provide a range of art prints for sports such as football, cycling and athletics, as well as other handmade products.
