The Visit England account is up for grabs

VisitEngland has issued a tender for its 2014 social media campaign, dubbed 'England's hall of fame'. Tender documents reveal that the contract will be worth between £25,000-£50,000 and is estimated to last from 26/11/2013 - 30/04/2014.

Chemical food sweetener brand Canderel has put its advertising work under review. A briefing for agencies interested in pitching will be published this week.

Visit Hampshire, part of Hampshire County Council, is to tender to appoint an agency to handle a PR campaign.

The deadline for applications to the procurement department of Hampshire County Council is 31 November.

Meanwhile, Heineken owned brand Desperados is expected to search for a creative agency as it readies a £6m campaign for 2014.

Account Wins

L’Oréal has announced the appointment of Maxus to handle its media planning and buying account for all L’Oréal brands in the UK and Ireland, following a three way pitch against PHD and ZenithOptimedia.

Manchester United has signed a deal with Unilever which will see the multinational consumer goods company become the club’s first official personal care and laundry partner in South East Asia. The three-year regional partnership between the two companies will see Unilever work with the club across nine counties; Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar.

Sydney’s Droga5 has been appointed by BBC Worldwide Australia & New Zealand to work on the ‘masterbrand and portfolio strategy’ for the region following a competitive pitch. The brief is to grow the BBC brand.

Iceland has awarded it’s the creative work around its ‘I’m a Celebrity ...Get Me Out Of Here!’ sponsorship to Karmarama. The agency has been tasked with delivering the ident creative for the ITV show,

Paris Saint-Germain FC has appointed Base79 to manage their video content on YouTube at both a global and local level.

Gleneagles has announced the appointment of RAPP Edinburgh to deliver strategic marketing recommendations.

Morrisons has appointed Live & Breathe to handle its in-store event communications programme following a competitive pitch run by Proxima. The appointment follows the above-the-line pitch held earlier in the year which saw DLKW Lowe retain the business.

OMD has been appointed by SSE to run its media planning and buying account, following a pitch against ZenithOptimedia, MEC and Mindshare.

Y&R Vietnam has won the digital account for Thai sports retailer Supersports in Vietnam after a three way competitive pitch. The agency recently won the accounts of Burger King and Remy Martin in the region.

Pukka Pies has appointed McCann Birmingham as lead creative agency following a four-way pitch.

The agency will handle all above-the-line activities and a TV, outdoor and PR campaign is planned for February 2014. Media buying will also be taken care of by the agency.

Dare has been appointed by beer brand Kingfisher as its UK creative agency following a three way pitch, replacing Forever Beta.

BGL group has appointed The Corner to the Beagle Street creative account after a pitch involving 18 Feet and Rising, Hello People and Lucky Generals.

Havas Worldwide has won the pan European advertising account for Birds Eye and Findus.
