Rangers director of comms James Traynor departs

Rangers head of communications James Traynor has left the club.

The former sports chief at the Daily Record who left the Trinity Mirror title and his broadcasting role with BBC Scotland to take up the head of comms role at the Glasgow football club, has now departed according to a brief statement released this afternoon.

The club released the following statement; "Rangers today announce that director of communications James Traynor has left the Club."

It is understood that he has left as part of cost cutting measures.
