Sarah Pinch named CIPR President as the body reveals the 2014 Council election results

Sarah Pinch, founder of Pinch Point Communications has been elected as president of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) for 2014.

The professional body for PR practitioners in the UK confirmed the appointment as it revealed the seven candidates elected to Council seats for 2014 including: Richard Evans; Steve Falla; Shelley Fletcher-Bryant; Sarah Hall; Jason Mackenzie ; Sally Sykes; and Grant Thoms .

15 candidates stood for the seven seats. A total of 578 votes were cast in the Council election, a turnout of 7.3 per cent of the total of number of eligible voters.

In the 2013 CIPR President-Elect election there was a turnout of 8.8 per cent.
