The Box TV channel is set to relaunch on Monday 28 October with a new identity, logo and idents.

The Box logo has been reworked with a simplified shape, while keeping the black and white colour scheme.

David Young, programming director at Box TV said: “It was important that the rebrand didn’t deviate from the channel’s true offer and values. It has been recognised as the force behind the huge success of the Spice Girl’s debut single ‘Wannabe’ and we are still very much that influence playing future hits first.”

Four idents have also been produced by Box TV along with motion design specialists, We Are Seventeen, to represent the idea that The Box is a destination to escape to.

“The biggest challenge for us was to successfully combine a wealth of brand heritage with a new, cutting edge approach,” Francois Cassin, art director at Box TV said. “I believe the new logo and channel identity does exactly that.”

Box TV is a joint venture between Channel 4 and Bauer Media.
