David J. Brown, the co-founder and CEO of fast growing cart recovery software developer Ve Interactive, has been nominated for three awards at the inaugural Great British Entrepreneur Awards.

Serial entrepreneur Brown is in the running for awards in the categories of Digital Innovation Entrepreneur of the Year; Most Captivating Entrepreneur of the Year and Turnaround Entrepreneur of the Year.

The Great British Entrepreneur Awards, taking place on 19 November at the Grand Connaught Rooms in Central London, are set to become the recognised standard of excellence amongst entrepreneurs. They mark a new era for entrepreneurship in the UK and this inaugural event is set to acknowledge and celebrate the contribution and inspiration provided by entrepreneurial businesses.

Brown draws on over a decade of business experience, operating his previous digital company, Serious across Europe, Asia and America. He has already directed launches of ten international Ve offices since its inception in late 2009 and serves on a number of Executive boards, holding three Chairman positions. Ve has recently been shortlisted for a National Business Award 2013 for Digital Company of the Year.

In March this year David also founded the omnichannel concept store The Clerkenwell Collection, as well as the corporate team behind it, ThinkersHQ. The Clerkenwell Collection gives British designer-makers a chance at retail exposure; also creating an on-offline integration vehicle for insight that can be used to support Britain's high streets.

Brown said: “I am honoured and excited to be shortlisted by an organisation whose support is so crucial to those people and companies that are intrinsic to the creation of growth for our economy.”

Simon Burton, founder of the Great British Entrepreneur Awards, said: “The entries we have received for the Great British Entrepreneur Awards can only be described as awe inspiring. The quality has been outstanding. The judges have had the extremely difficult task of whittling the great and good of the entrepreneurial community down to the very best and we are delighted by the people and companies that have made the shortlist. The Awards Ceremony itself in November will be a night to remember, with VIPs from the worlds of business and entrepreneurship gathering to celebrate entrepreneurial spirit in the UK.”
