Global Radio CEO Stephen Miron has been named the new president of advertising charity Nabs.

The appointment of Miron comes in the charity’s centenary year, following on from Phil Georgiadis, chairman of Walker Media.

Miron said: “I’m delighted to accept the role as president of Nabs particularly in its centenary year. Throughout my career in the media industry I have time and again seen the great work that Nabs does and feel privileged to be able to work with the team to ensure that as Nabs enters its next centenary that it continues to play such an important and increasingly vital role within the advertising and media community.”

Zoë Osmond, CEO of Nabs, added: “Stephen’s appointment and the launch of our Resilience Programme are two more highlights of what has been a hugely successful centenary year for Nabs. From the Big Bash to the Fun Run – Nabs has enjoyed a huge level of support from everyone in the industry.”

Georgiadis will now become a patron, alongside Tess Alps, executive chair of Thinkbox and Nick Bampton, commercial sales director of Channel 5, while Naten Patel, CEO of Primesight and Linda Grant, managing director of Metro UK have also become trustees.
