Gravity and Captain Phillips are receiving the most Twitter buzz at the London Film Festival, research from Way to Blue has found, accounting for 9.2 per cent and 7.8 per cent of talk respectively.

As well as looking at what films were discussed with over 18,856 comments on the festival being made between 9 and 13 October, Way to Blue also looked at the propensity to view the films.

Despite the fact that only 1.5 per cent of the chatter was about Nebraska, it was found that 19.31 per cent of those talking about the film had a propensity to view it, making the film second to Gravity, with 21.37 per cent of messages indicating a propensity to view.

In total, 17 per cent of the tweets sent about London Film Festival suggested a propensity to view.

It was found that Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock were the stars that garnered the most mentions so far, with George Clooney, the Coen brothers and Joseph Gordon-Levitt all counting for less than one per cent of the buzz between them.
