Playmobil has named nine year-old fan Darcy Harrison as the voice of its new Christmas advert.

The advert was produced by The Gate Films, with post production done at Edit 19.

Picked from over 100 entries, the voice of Playmobil will make her television debut on the morning of Monday 14 October on CITV.

Darcy, from Warwickshire, has attended acting school since the age of six, and was rewarded for her efforts on the advert with £250 worth of Playmobil toys.

Darcy said, “I can’t believe my voice is going to be on TVs all over the country in the run up to Christmas! I had such a good time making my film and recording the ad. It was such an amazing experience, I can’t wait to see the final result on TV.”

Jamie Dickinson, marketing manager for Playmobil commented on his new-found star: "She blew us away on the recording day with her enthusiasm and professional attitude and I think she has a great future ahead of her.”

Dickinson was equally effusive about the success of the competition as a whole, saying: " Our biggest ambassadors are our fans, so inviting them to be the Voice of Playmobil was the perfect way to celebrate their passion for our brand and how much they mean to us.

“We were incredibly touched and impressed by the passion, creativity and standard of entries that the children sent in."

As well as CITV, the Voice of Playmobil adverts will show on national broadcasters including Channel 5.
