Global has announced Coca-Cola has replaced Blackberry as the headline partner of Capital FM’s Jingle Bell Ball, the O2 Arena event which 30,000 people flocked to last year.

“When you think of Christmas, you think of Coca-Cola. They’re the perfect partner for our Jingle Bell Ball, and we are very excited to have them on board. This year’s event will be bigger than ever, and we look forward to delivering some great results with Coca-Cola,” said Mike Gordon, managing director of commercial at Global Radio.

As headline partner to Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball, Coca-Cola will be promoted throughout the lead up to the event with a multi-platform campaign.

Alongside on-air teaser tag lines, live reads and ticket giveaways, there will be extensive support across Capital FM’s digital and social media channels. There will also be Coca-Cola branding and experiential activity at the events themselves.

“Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball is a brilliant sponsorship opportunity for Coca-Cola. We have a proud heritage celebrating the magic of Christmas, and the Jingle Bell Ball allows us to build anticipation and excitement with the hottest acts in music and their passionate fans,” added Brid Drohan-Stewart, Coca-Cola GB marketing director.

The deal was negotiated by Mediacom.
