Santander retains Carat as media planner and buyer and adds SEO to remit

Santander has retained Carat as its media buyer and planner following a review of its media arrangements for 2014-2015.

Carat had previously provided above-the-line, digital display and paid search services for Santander since 2008, but after a successful pitch alongside sister Aegis Media company iProspect, will now also manage SEO.

Keith Moor, Santander's director of brand and communications, who oversaw the process, said: “We are looking forward to continuing our now long standing working partnership with Carat. We would like to thank both Mediacom and Carat for their hard work and extraordinary commitment during the lengthy and rigorous process.”

Carat retained the contract after seeing off competition from Mediacom in the final stage of the bank's planning and buying review, which began in May and ended last Friday (4 October)
