The winning entries from our postcard competition were put into their honorary positions in the shop window alongside some legendary Chip Shop Awards small ads at our special event at Framestore in London last night (2 October).
Around 100 people turned out to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Chip Shops and see the 10 newly created entries placed on the venue's shop window, where they will remain for people to see until 19 October. The winning entries, created specifically for the event, were revealed on Monday
by The Drum following a week-long public vote. Gordon Young, editor of The Drum, said: "It is great to see these ideas on a real shop window where they belong - in the past we have only ever seen them in the form of computerised render or magazine illustrations. But it does demonstrate the power of the postcard and the ideas that can be communicated with nothing more than a pen, a piece of A6 card and some blue tack."The postcards can be viewed on Framestore's shopfront on Noel Street in London.
