Burger King rebrands to Fries King in support of new menu
Burger King has changed its name to Fries King, a stunt in support of its new lower calorie ‘crinkle cut’ fries – ‘Satisfries’. There has been a limited-time only change to the branding across its restaurants in Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami, while the fast food chain's website and social channels have also all incorporated the Fries King logo. Exclusive Fries King content has also been made available on its Facebook page. The stunt, which has proved confusing to some, has been pushed online with the hashtags #FriesKing, and #Satisfried as well as the rather unfortunate choice of #WTFF (What The French Fry) which many other Twitter users recognise as meaning What The F*cking F*ck.
LOL @ burger king's new french fry campaign and using #WTFF, which they obviously know what that really means... right?
