Eccentric celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal has launched a brand partnership with Australian supermarket giant Coles, said to involve the chef associating his branding with a product range centering on Australian and Indigenous ingredients.

The range launches next year

“It’s an incredibly exciting opportunity to work with Coles and to fully explore the different tastes and flavours of Australia," said Blumenthal.

“Australia not only boasts one of the most exciting restaurant scenes in the world, but the whole country seems to be excited by the food scene so there’s a brilliant energy.

“Coles, as the leading supermarket here in Australia, has fully embraced this food scene and together, we are hoping to create something a little innovative and a little different for Australian shoppers,” he said.

Simon McDowell, Coles marketing and store development director said: “This exclusive partnership signals an amazing new opportunity for Coles and one that reinforces our commitment to continually push the boundaries of food innovation.”

He added: “Through Heston’s new range, our customers will now have everything they need to bring some Heston magic to their meals, all year round.”

The range is set to launch in September next year.
