Highlighting future technology trends, agency big hitters including DigitasLbi’s executive creative director Simon Gill, R/GA VP and executive creative director George Prest, and Wieden + Kennedy’s senior planner Collyn Ahart, are to be among the speaker line-up for The Drum’s forthcoming 4 Minute Warningconference.
The event, which takes place on 4 December in London, will provide delegates with a chance to park their prejudices, shelf their short-term imperatives and imagine how their business may look after it has changed beyond all recognition.
The Drum’s head of conferences Anne-Marie Sheedy said: “We believe the world is changing fast and that disruptive forces require businesses to quickly adapt to customers' needs, proactively connect with their audience, and create breakthrough experiences that get the most out of rich, emerging technologies.
“This event is designed to give people the tools to identify the key developments likely to overwhelm and bust the existing business models that govern marketing and media businesses.”
The event will see a host of other experts join the speakers for the day, including PHD’s head of innovation Anjali Ramachandran, Blippar founder and CEO Ambarish Mitra, Zipcar;s UK genera manager Mark Walker, Manning Gottlieb OMD's executive director Steve Edwards and The Internet Advertising Bureau’s head of mobile Jon Mew and Melissa McVeigh, client partner & strategist, Opposite Days Studio. See the full list of speakers here.
Topics will span everything from wearable & embedded technology, smart cities, 3D printing, to the value of collaborative consumption, tech start-ups, the use of personal data and the next generation of story-telling.
Delegates will also hear about the latest developments in content-creation, distribution and measurement, citizen journalism and the future of mobile and education.
The Drum launched the first 4 Minute Warning event last year, and continues the “Think the Unthinkable” theme, exploring the evolution of technologies and how they can influence businesses.
Hashtag for the day will be #4minwarning
