The Commonwealth Games partners have launched a toolkit to help hospitality and tourism businesses to show support for Glasgow 2014.

Developed in collaboration with Glasgow 2014, VisitScotland and Glasgow City Marketing Bureau under the banner ‘2014: Our Games, Our Welcome’, thousands of tourism and hospitality businesses have been given guidance on marketing materials to use around the Games.

The kit contains four different coloured logos to download as well as online banners and advice on wording for marketing materials and social media channels.

David Grevemberg, Glasgow 2014 chief executive, said: “Glasgow 2014 will be the biggest sporting and cultural event the country has ever seen and presents unmatched opportunities for the tourism sector and businesses all over Scotland.

“Through the launch of this toolkit, we invite the tourism industry to play its part and grasp the opportunity to ‘Be The Games’. We are committed to making the Games a platform that helps promote Glasgow and Scotland as a world-class visitor destination.”

The toolkit also includes key dates and milestones that may be of interest to tourism businesses in the run-up to Games time.
