McDonald’s has redesigned its global packaging for carry-out bags and drinks cups for the majority of restaurants worldwide.

Redesign: The new packaging was created by Boxer

UK and Chicago-based brand design agency Boxer designed the new packaging, which features illustrations depicting ingredients used in the fast food outlets products and menu items, as well as food facts.

Additionally, customers can access nutrition advice via a QR code on the packaging.

Paul Castledine, Boxer’s chief creative officer, said the design was one that “takes customers on a visual journey of discovery into all the things that make their McDonald’s meal enjoyable”.

The packaging will roll-out worldwide throughout the rest of 2013.
