Volkswagen has launched a new ad campaign featuring a character named Johnny Conquest.

Devised by Deutsch LA, the ads see the fictional character jump into people’s lives to give them unsolicited demonstrations about the virtues of German engineering.

Deutsch was tasked with finding ways to show multiple features and accolades in one spot, as opposed to the single feature often shown in previous VW commercials.

The first two spots have been titled: 'Johnny Conquest: Lunch' and 'Johnny Conquest: Organic'.

The ads are directed by David Shane, known for commercials like Bud Light’s ‘Swear Jar’.
