Motorola has launched a new TV campaign suggesting your current phone is like a lazy, slightly overweight man with rather a lot of facial hair, and useless when you really need it to work.

Three humorous spots – ‘Music’, ‘Meeting’ and ‘Play’ – aim to show how features like the voice controls on the Moto X are better than using touch controls on other devices.

The other spots show how the Quick Control and Active Notification functions make the Moto X better than a typical phone.

The ads were devised by Droga5 in collaboration with Digitas, and released online earlier this week. They will roll out across US networks from 12 September.
