A new campaign to promote Nissan Juke has been produced, featuring stormtroopers from Star Wars, to reflect the tagline ‘Innovation that excites’.

The campaign, created by Tbwa\Hakuhodo, promotes the ‘personalised package edition’ of the vehicle, that allows buyers to customise their car using a range differently coloured parts.

Takahiro Hosoda, creative director at Tbwa\Hakuhodo, explained that the project was commissioned followed a personal letter written to George Lucas asking for his collaboration.

"It’s a very special thing that Lucas Film accepted our request for collaboration and we’re very glad this campaign has finally kicked off. The director, Scott Lyon, has created an amazing film and we’re thrilled that it’s being well received in Japan,” he added.

The ‘City of Stormtroopers’ campaign, which sees one storm trooper inspired by the car as it drives through the Imperial City, will be supported through a website, online films and print adverts.
