Lady Gaga takes over every Times Square billboard to launch new music video
Lady Gaga’s music video for her latest song, Applause, blared from screens across every billboard in New York’s Times Square this morning, 19 August.
The stunt came during a ‘Good Morning America’ segment as the singer made an appearance on the morning talk show to debut the video. She said: “Seeing it in Times Square is a total dream come true. I really felt like I could be myself in this video.”
It comes after the Applause single was rushed to airwaves following several online leaks. Gaga announced on Twitter last week that "due to hackers" and "an abundance of low/high quality leaks" the single would be released early.
