R/GA has named Daniel Diez as global chief marketing officer.

Tasked with creating integrated programmes strategically designed to raise R/GA’s profile globally and regionally, Diez will work closely with managing directors across all R/GA offices and senior leadership in New York.

He reports directly to Bob Greenberg, R/GA founder, chairman and CEO, who said: “With R/GA’s recent global growth, we see strategic marketing as an essential method for promoting the thought leadership that exists within our walls and expanding the brand overall. Daniel has a fresh take on how to effectively communicate our vision to expand client relationships. We’re excited for him to join.”

Diez joined R/GA from Interbrand, where he was senior director, global marketing and communications. In this role, he led a complete refresh of Interbrand’s Best Global Brands reports, resulting in partnerships with the New York Times, CNBC and the New York Stock Exchange.

Prior to Interbrand, Diez served as manager of US public relations for Jack Morton Worldwide.

“I am very excited to be joining R/GA as the agency’s first chief marketing officer,” said Diez. “Bob Greenberg and the incredible team he has built around the globe represent the brightest minds in digital, social media, and innovation today and I look forward to bringing their ground breaking thought leadership to life.”
