JP Morgan Chase reviews $80m digital ad account, asking holding companies to suggest the best shop for the job
JP Morgan Chase is reviewing its $70-80m digital advertising account.
Deviating from the standard practice of asking individual shops to pitch, JP Morgan is approaching the holding companies and asking them to decide which of their shops are up to the task.
According to reports, the likes of Dentsu, WPP, Interpublic, Publicis, and Omnicom have been approached.
The strange move has prompted speculation that JPMorgan could be looking to overhaul its entire advertising business, not just digital.
