The Vancouver Police Department is looking to raise awareness of its crime prevention and community outreach programmes. What better way to do that than selling classic, if a little shiny, aviators with a couple of CSI parody ads.

The spots, created pro-bono by DDB Canada with support from OMD, aim to show that purchasing a pair of the mirrored sunglasses will help support the police, but wearing them will not make you one. Entitled ‘Hooded’ and ‘Deflated’, they spoof police dramas like the CSI shows.
