The Museum of London has commissioned Together Design to create a series of posters in order to raise brand awareness.

The four-poster series will launch in mid-August and marks the first brand awareness campaign for the museum since 2010. Forming part of an integrated campaign, which includes PR and social media, the creative takes the brand in a new strategic direction as it aims to more than double its visitor numbers over the next five years, attracting more Londoners to its two venues – the Museum of London and Museum of London Docklands.

In the posters, running across outdoor, tube and print media, museum artefacts from different eras are combined with the London backdrop, positioning the museum as contemporary, culturally sophisticated, and in tune with the spirit of London.

Of the creative, Vicky Lee, marketing manager at the Museum of London, said: “Together has captured the diversity of our collections in four wonderfully eclectic designs which really reflect the unique, vibrant energy of London and its people.”

Together Design creative director Katja Thielen commented: “Overall the posters are about the richness of the capital and its heritage, which Londoners themselves are a part of. We wanted to create images that people find partly familiar and partly unfamiliar and to attract people with something very active and quirky.”
