Lancashire County Cricket Club (LCCC) has appointed Manchester-based Skylab as its digital partner, helping mark the rebranding of the Emirates Old Trafford.

Following a competitive pitch, Skylab will initially focus on the creation of a new website for the venue side of the business, helping to celebrate the naming rights deal. Once completed, the new website will showcase the venue’s non-matchday offerings, including events, dinners, exhibitions and weddings.

Due to be launched later this year, a holding page has been developed in the interim to support lead generation during the third Ashes Test Match, which is currently underway.

Daniel Gidney, chief executive of Lancashire County Cricket Club, commented: “Skylab’s passion, level of detail and enthusiasm in creating our new digital platform clearly shone through what was a competitive tendering process. We are delighted with their appointment and look forward to a close and productive working relationship during what is a crucial and exciting time at Emirates Old Trafford.”

Skylab managing director, Nigel Collier, added: “It’s a privilege to be working with such a historic club.”
