British Airways has unveiled an online film showing how its business is about more than just flying.

Opening on beautifully shot scenes of India and New York, the film sees Ratesh - a young man who moved away from his Mumbai home, and mum, for New York aged only 17 - reunited with her thanks to BA.

Created by Ogilvy & Mather New York, it aims to promote the North America to India routes the airline offers, as well as show that the brand understands that family matters and wants to make travelling home as easy as possible.

The five minute ad has been hosted on the dedicated BA Visit Mum website, which also offers the recipe for the okra parathas that inspired the story, and is being promoted on social media using the hastag #visitmum.
