Former OMD Hungary managing director Laszlo Mezo named MediaCom Hungary CEO

Former OMD Hungary managing director Laszlo Mezo will join MediaCom Hungary in September as the agency's chief executive.

Mezo replaces Arpad Mondok, who left the agency after 16 years, and will focus on the development of MediaCom Hungary's digital offering and raising the profile of the agency as a top company to work for in the country.

Costin Mihaila, chief executive of MediaCom CEE, said: "Laszlo's track record at OMD is impressive. He has been a key player in the agency's growth to market leader in Hungary and his arrival to MediaCom Hungary signals our intention to build the MediaCom brand even further, not only by continuing to evolve and improve our offering to existing clients, but also by making sure that more advertisers get the chance to benefit from our 'People first, better results' philosophy.

Mezo led OMD to win accountsincluding OBI, Univer and Mars Wrigley and the agency won a raft of awards under his leadership.

He said of his new appointment: "I believe we have the people and resources to make a serious impact in this country and I am committed to bringing that potential to life."
