Lord Coe, chairman of the British Olympic Association, is set to edit the Weekend section of tomorrow’s Daily Telegraph, on the eve of the first anniversary of the Olympics.

The issue, which is set to feature those who played important roles throughout the Games, will feature Boris Johnson, Mo Farah, Laura Trott, Sir Ben Ainslie, Katherine Grainger, David Weir, Stephen Daldry, Frank Cottrell Boyce and Jonnie Peacock.

Tony Gallagher, editor at The Daily Telegraph, said: “I am delighted Lord Coe is returning to The Daily Telegraph. The London Olympics were rightly regarded as the finest for a generation. His triumphant organisation gives him an authority and breadth of experience which our readers will really enjoy.”

Coe will write for The Telegraph about a range of subjects, including sport, education, politics, family matters and travel as well as conducting interviews with high-profile figures across a wide range of sectors.
