Facebook monthly mobile use grows across US and UK

Facebook’s mobile monthly active users in June have increased by 18 per cent in the US and 22 per cent in the UK year on year, with beaches proving a popular place for users to check-in.

In was found that in the UK, Bournemouth was the most popular beach in terms of Facebook check-ins, with messaging being the most important activity for UK users.

In the US, Santa Cruz beach was the most popular, with the most popular activity for users being to like things.

Facebook suggests that the increase in mobile users provides brands with the chance to connect with customers and reach people on the beach.
