MySingleFriend is extending its service to match up single people attending the same weddings as it looks to capitalise on the height of the wedding season.

The dating site has launched the MySingleTable service, which comprises an exclusive package for couples getting married, to help their single guests find dates at their wedding.

The package includes a month-long free subscription to the site for their single guests, with the bride and groom encouraged to write the dating profiles for their chosen guests, which they can circulate prior to the wedding day.

The idea is for them to then be able to match up which friends they believe would make a good match and adapt their table seating arrangements accordingly.

People can see hints and tops via the MySingleTable website on how to make a wedding celebration an ideal backdrop for singles to mingle and meet each other, including creative goodie bag ideas and original party games.

Sarah Beeny, founder of MySingleFriend.com, said: “Weddings are fantastic opportunities to match make our fabulous single friends! It’s time to get our Great British brides and grooms involved. Their single friends have been there for them providing support as wingmen in their relationships – It’s time to spread the love."

The launch follows a poll conducted by the dating site, which revealed 80 per cent of single people believe weddings are a great opportunity to meet new people. Meanwhile 83 per cent of single men and 69 per cent of single women said they would prefer to know which of the bride and groom’s single friends are attending their wedding.
