Pepsi Max has introduced Blippar technology to its bottles to further promote its association with TV magician Dynamo, launched by a London bus stunt at the end of June.

From July, as part of the ‘Live for Now’ campaign, customers will have access to augmented reality content when they blip a physical bottle of Pepsi Max.

To view the content, drinkers simply need to download the Blippar app from their appropriate app store and hold the device, with Blippar running, over the Pepsi Max logo on 600ml bottles with the Blippar call to action.

“For us, this partnership with Blippar is such a brilliant way to engage and instantly reward Pepsi Max drinkers with fantastic content and the opportunity to win great prizes. The blipp converts a Pepsi Max bottle to a bit of mobile magic which is something that hasn’t been done before. Fans are going to be blown away when they experience this exclusive one to one magic from Dynamo,” commented Aman Matharu, digital marketing manager for Pepsi Max.

The blipp, which is also available on participating 330ml cans and 2L bottles, reveals Dynamo from inside the bottle and gives drinkers the chance to perform a number of magic pieces with him. Following the magic, drinkers are invited to view more content from an AR menu which also enables customers to visit the Pepsi Max site, watch more Dynamo video content and enter on-pack promotions to win prizes.
