Microsoft and Blackberry slash prices in technology battle with Apple, Google and Samsung
Microsoft and Blackberry have both cut prices on smartphone and tablet devices as they struggle to compete with competitors Apple, Google and Samsung, according to reports.
Battle: Blackberry's recent figures have caused concern
The BBC reports Microsoft has dropped the price of its 32GB and 64GB Surface RT tablets in the UK by £121 to £279 and £359 respectively, while in the US Blackberry customers can now buy a Z10 smartphone contract from as little as $49 - a drop of $150 in four months.
Blackberry's recent quarterly figures led to a significant drop in market value after failing to reach revenue forecasts.
