Sunderland City Council goes mobile and gets social with new website from Guerilla Communications
Sunderland City Council has revealed its new fully interactive website, designed by Guerilla Communications to improve the Council’s digital presence.
The Newcastle-based agency was tasked with creating a fresh, clean and spacious website that was easy to navigate, read and digest. The new-look site also had to be mobile-optimised to ensure visitors would be able to receive information regardless of what device they’re using.
“The newly redesigned website will provide visitors with a much better experience while online. We needed a solution that would provide specific information in a personalised way to a number of different audiences, this website provides exactly that. The result is a vastly improved experience for both external and internal users which include employees, residents, visitors and councillors,” commented deputy leader of Sunderland City Council, Councillor Henry Trueman.
Guerilla Communications has also integrated social functionality into the site including the Council’s Twitter, Facebook and YouTube channels.
Leanne Johnson, digital director at Gurilla, added: “It’s great to see the new site go live and it will be important to monitor how well the improved design meets the needs of those who visit and use the site often. It’s been great to get under the skin of Sunderland City Council’s website and we hope our remodelling of it will ensure the website becomes, and remains, a valued resource to all stakeholders.”
