Volvic has reunited The Only Way is Essex’s Joey Essex and Sam Faiers to bring Volcanicity to life in a tropical music video.

The online video - part of Volvic’s Volcanicity YouTube channel - sees the former Essex lovebirds transported to their own tropical beach by drinking Volvic’s Touch of Tropical Fruits, creating a new music video for Ritchie Valen’s 1958 hit La Bamba, the signature song of the Touch of Tropical Fruits TV ad, in the process.

Of the decision to create engaging YouTube content as part of it marketing strategy, Lucie Mitchell, senior brand manager for Volvic, said: “Rather than paying to promote posts and ads, we decided to team up with Joe and Sam to create this fun film that users will genuinely enjoy and connect with.”

As well as being treated to Essex actually singing La Bamba viewers will also be able to see Faiers dressed up as a pirate and a hula girl, and Essex playing the ukulele.

Essex commented: “Summer is my favourite time of year, for sure. There's nothing better than a trip to the beach with the boys, getting a tan, and just chilling. And, if Volvic Touch of Tropical Fruits Flavour has taught me anything, there is always a way to make a good summer's day better.”
