The Uruguayan Tourist Board has teamed up with Air Europa to launch a branded taxi advertising campaign for the Latin American airline's new route between London and Uruguayan capital Montevideo.

Campaign: 75 branded taxis will travel around London

The campaign was created through taxi advertising specialists Ubiquitious and will see 75 taxis roam London with branding on the side of the taxis and on tip seats, as well as branded receipts for travellers.

Andrew Barnett, managing director at Ubiquitous, said: "Taxi advertising is proven to be an excellent way to infiltrate London's busy city centre with a brand message.

"In the case of Air Europa, their taxi campaign with us will specifically raise awareness among Londoners about the opportunities that this new route to Uruguay presents."

Benjamin Liberoff, national director of Tourism of Uruguay, added: "The three-weekly flights between Europe and Uruguay are a challenge and opportunity to increase tourism and business between our country and Europe."
