Vero commercial director Errol Baran has joined Clear Channel UK as managing director of a new initiative, currently only known as Project X.

Baran will have responsibility for redefining a key part of Clear Channel’s market proposition.

He said: It’s an exciting time to join such a forward-thinking organisation. There is so much potential for growth in out-of-home media and Clear Channel has a proven track record in innovation. This new role gives me a great opportunity to be part of a landmark media moment.”

Matthew Dearden, chief executive at Clear Channel UK, added: “We’re delighted to have Errol on board to spearhead this important new initiative. At Clear Channel our goal is to understand how brands engage with the right audience and make it easy for them to do it brilliantly. Our imminent launch will shape the future direction of the market by thinking big, thinking differently and thinking creatively about how to meet the evolving needs of advertisers.”

Clear Channel will make a further announcement regarding the initiative in early autumn.
