Citroën has brought back its Citroën Seekers game for a summer round offering players the chance to win a new C4 Picasso.

Running from 10am on Tuesday 16 July until 9:59am on Tuesday 30 July the updated version of the game combines Facebook and Google Street View to enable users to ‘seek’ and score points for collecting markers across a virtual world.

Developed by multiplatform digital agency Candyspace and OMD UK the return of Citroën Seekers includes updated gameplay which sees players this time having to collect points from streets from around the world including Sydney, Cape Town and New York, to unlock special missions and explore new Street View locations. Awards and achievements can also be shared amongst players and friends, enabling friendly competition and sustained engagement. Every 100 points collected entitles players to one entry into the prize draw; the more points collected the better the chance of winning.

“Gamification has delivered fantastic results for Citroen, with the recent Seekers game providing 62,000 hours of engagement with the brand with over 40,000 players… [This time players] will face intriguing new challenges, all from the comfort and safety of the expansive interior of the New C4 Picasso. The new game features custom panoramas in Google Streetview and exciting brand new gameplay mechanics. This round of Seekers is going to be bigger and better than ever,” remarked Tom Thorne, managing director for Candyspace.

Gameplay is available on both web and mobile allowing users to play at home or on the move with their smartphone. Real-time back-end integration also allows for players to transfer between mobile and online.
