Over 5m Wimbledon mentions made on social, with Evian and IBM receiving most brand mentions

In the past two weeks, 5,421,626 posts mentioning Wimbledon have been made on social media, research from Salesforce Marketing Cloud using its Radian6 platform has found.

The research also found that Andy Murray was the player with the most mentions, with 960,000 posts mentioning the Scottish player, with Novak Djokovic coming second, followed by Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Serena Williams.

In terms of brands, Evian, the official water of Wimbledon, came out on top, with over 750 mentions, followed by IBM with 408 mentions, with Rolex and Robinsons next at just under 300 mentions each.
