Sony Mobile global marketing VP Stephan Croix to depart as it creates Product Marketing function

Sony has confirmed that Stephan Croix, vice president and head of global marketing creation and brand at Sony Mobile is to depart.

Croix, who took up the position in September 2011, will leave following the creation of a new Product Marketing function within Sony Mobile’s sales and marketing division.

Dennis van Schie, senior vice president and head of sales and marketing for Sony Mobile, confirmed Croix’s departure which he explained will take place during “a period of structural re-organisation” in order to integrate within the wider Sony business.

“We would like to thank Stephan for his tremendous contribution and wish him well in the next stage of his career,” he added.

Prior to joining Sony Mobile, Croix was VP, head of global marketing partnerships and sponsoring for Sony Ericsson, having moved through the ranks, initially joining Sony as a marketing manager in 2000.
