UTV has appointed Keith Lacy as CEO of its full service digital agency, Simply Zesty, and head of digital media development for UTV Ireland.
Lacy will work closely with group commercial director of UTV Media plc, Nigel Robbins, to develop UTV's digital media presence in Ireland. His previous experience includes serving as a board director at Cybercom and he helped establish lastminute.com in Ireland.
Robbins said: "Keith brings to this role not only a wealth of truly relevant knowledge and experience backed up by more than 12 years at the digital media ‘coal face’, but he further complements that with sound business acumen and a very clear sense of where this fledgling industry is headed and indeed where a client’s focus and energies should be placed."
Lacy added: "Within Simply Zesty we have a team of highly-accomplished professionals, and within UTV Media there are bold ambitions to enrich both its digital offerings in Ireland and cross-platform opportunities for clients who view digital as an essential part of their overall media spread."
The position will have particular focus on client strategy and quality of delivery across digital platforms.
