Mackie’s of Scotland is set to launch its first TV advertising campaign in four years to support its premium ice cream range next Friday, 5 July.

Created by Plum Films and planned and bought by Republic of Media, the ad will run on STV, Channel 4 Scotland and Five Scotland.

Karin Hayhow, marketing director at Mackie’s of Scotland, said: “We’re looking forward to being on TV across Scotland this summer with a view to raising brand awareness among younger consumers. Our advert is about enjoying Mackie’s ice cream and we hope to engage our consumers in the fun advert content as well as with supporting activity online. We feel confident that Republic of Media has helped provide the necessary guidance to maximise the impact to our selected audience within the budget provided.”

The ad is set to be supported by social media, pre-roll advertising on YouTube and a new website.

Created by The BIG Partnership, the website, which features a jersey cow on its homepage to emphasise the brand’s core values of protecting and promoting the natural environment was unveiled last week.

Heyhow added: “We’re delighted with our new website and how it encapsulates the Mackie’s of Scotland brand. The jersey cow leading the homepage design has great impact and provides a character which we can readily transfer to other supporting media. “

The campaign is set to focus on the ‘Simply Creamy’ taste of Mackie’s ice cream.
