Nissan Motor Sports has appointed Boomerang – part of Boom Pictures – as the all-content partner for its new global YouTube channel Nismo TV.

Boomerang, the producer of branded content, has provided the channel with a range of programming aimed at motor sports fans – from international racing coverage and stunts, to broadcasting live from events.

The new channel, a co-production between Boomerang and Grand Central, launched on 22 June with a live broadcast from Le Mans, the three-day racing event.

Boomerang has also produced content for the channel around Nissan Motor Sports cars and the team, including product films about Nismo athletes and cars, a look under the skin of Nismo’s technology, and also an in-depth glimpse behind the scenes of international racing at the FIA GT3 European Championship and the Blancpain Endurance Series.

Dylan Wyn Davies, creative director, Boomerang said: “We are delighted to be working with Nissan on Nismo TV, to create content around a leading brand in the sports world.

"YouTube has revolutionised the way that people are watching entertainment content and engaging with brands, and we will be bringing our experience in producing award-winning programming for TV and online to entertain and inform current and new fans of motor sport.”
