Mcgarrybowen London has appointed a new head of design, Jim Bletsas, who leaves his design director position at Mother London to join the agency.

Appointment: Jim Bletsas takes up head of design role

Bletsas has worked with clients including the BBC, RSPCA, Thornton's, Virgin Atlantic, Frank and Stella Artois over his 13-year career, and led projects at Mother such as Gucci's Chime for Change and the Thames & Hudson children's book Operation Alphabet, which won The Observer Best Education App.

He will report to executive creative directors Paul Jordan and Angus Macadam in his new role. Macadam said: "Jim is going to be an incredible addition to our department; renowned for his original thinking and versatility."

Bletsas said he was "very excited" to be joining the agency and working with brands such as Canon, Honda, Omega and Toblerone.

Recent campaign at Mcgarrybowen London include a 'happy egg song timer' app for the happy egg co, which entertains users with a 'unique egg song' of their choice while their eggs boil.
