WPP has been named as Holding Company of the Year for the third consecutive year at the Cannes Festival of Creativity.

The marketing services company picked up the prize for the second consecutive year as its creative agency Ogilvy & Mather became the first Network to win over 100 Lions while its agencies from over 40 companies picked up Lions this year in the end.

Sir Martin Sorrell, CEO of WPP, said: “WPP agencies have put in a stunning performance at this year’s festival, where the quality of work has been hugely impressive across the board. I’d like to thank and congratulate everyone who made this result possible. As Cannes Lions and the Effies have recognised, our people are creatively effective, and effectively creative. We’re very proud of them all.”

In the end the company registered 2067 points, beating Omnicom at 1552 points and Publicis with 989.5.
