Chevrolet launches judging panel with Jon Landau and Spike Lee to judge entries for Oscars ad campaign

Producer Jon Landau, director Spike Lee and CEO of Global Brands Linus Karlsson will sit on a Chevrolet judging panel selecting ads submitted by independent filmmakers which could be aired as part of the brand's Oscars advertising campaign.

The brand will work with global creative community project MOFILM in its search for films celebrating "simple, yet significants moment in life".

Global Chevrolet chief marketing officer, Tim Mahoney - who will also sit on the panel - said: "We hope the engenuity of this program will allow filmmakers to capture the essence of what owning a Chevrolet means to people around the world."

The project is open for entries until November and filmmakers who would like to be considered for guidance from the expert panel should submit their scripts by August 16.
